The first draw took place on March 23, 2012.

Other countries took interest and decided to throw their hats in the ring. Spain joined in June 2012. On February 1, 2013, Croatia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden joined EuroJackpot. The Czech Republic and Hungary joined in October 2014.  In October 9, 2015, Slovakia joined EuroJackpot. In September 2017, Poland became the 18th country to participate in EuroJackpot.
